What to Expect

The Place of Worship

As you enter the Sanctuary, you will notice an atmosphere of worship and reverence. Some people will be kneeling in silent private prayer. Others sitting quietly waiting for the service to begin.

The Services

8:00am ~ Traditional Rite I Holy Eucharist *
This service lasts about one hour.

* The Christian ceremony commemorating the Last Supper, in which bread and wine are consecrated and consumed.

10:00am ~ Contemporary Rite II Holy Eucharist with music
Service will be dismissed at approximately 11:15am.

You will be guided through the service(s) with the use of a:

The Book of Common Prayer
An insert (inside your bulletin) contains the Readings from the Holy Bible – – Old Testament, Psalm, New Testament & Gospel
1982 Hymnal (At the 10am service, which includes music)

Our Episcopal Church Service would probably be considered what many call “low church”.  For Episcopalians, the term “no bells, no smells” will suffice. For those joining us from other traditions, or no tradition at all, that means we don’t use incense or a great deal of formal ritual in our services.

You may very well be here on vacation, and don’t have what you might consider “church clothes” with you, but not to worry.

Casual dress (remember that you are entering a place of worship) is totally acceptable, and likely expected.

Parking is available both on the street and in the parking lot adjacent to the church. You may enter the church through either the Parish Hall, located right off of the parking lot, or through the red doors near the walled garden that leads directly into the Narthex.

Coffee & Conversation

Join us after the 10am service for coffee and fellowship – – – during times that we do not have Sunday School Classes in session, we also gather between services to visit and catch up with each others lives.
